What is Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is the old form of engineering in the world.Civil Engineering deals with the design of construction such as roads,bridges,canals,dams and different types of buldings.

Where do they work and What do they do?

Civil engineers tend to work in offices to plan projects.Sometimes civil engineers goes on a construction site.Full-time civil engineers supervise and maintain the site projects like bridges,roads,airports and other structures. There most famous projects are the Golden Gate Bridge,the Eiffel Tower and the Hoover dam.Civil Engineer can work in private constructions companies, governmental public works organizations or in universities as a research fellow or a teacher. A civil Engineer can be a surveyor, a technical report writer or even a project manager.

What kind of education do you need?

In order to become and civil engineer you need to have a bachelors degree and of cource a high school diploma.the courses you should consider taking in high school are the math and science.for math you would need to take Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Probability & Statistics, Calculus I, and Calculus II. For science you would need to take Physical Science, Biology, Applied Biology/Chemistry, Advanced Physics and Chemistry.
